Our COVID-19 response plan in Yemen is aligned with our global Save the Children response strategy as well as WHO’s strategy, and the Yemen authorities’ multi sector taskforce. Where possible, SC is also adapting its current long-term programming to support preparedness and COVID-19 response. Building on our extensive global and national experience as a humanitarian responder, including recent outbreaks of cholera and dengue fever, our initial response activities prioritize addressing immediate needs amongst families, communities, and services to prevent and mitigate the spread and impact of COVID-19. We are treating children under five suffering from malnutrition and supporting health facilities in some of the hardest-to-reach areas. With up to 75% of schools destroyed in some areas, we’re also running temporary learning programs so children don’t miss out on an education. But we need your help to continue.
Save the Children has a number of social media "share cards" already created for COVID-19. View choices and download from this link.
